Summer in Downtown: Lewisville's Best Kept Secret

Ahh sweet summertime!

The sun is shining, the kids are out of school, and the search is on for fun activities to do with the fam. I can't tell you how many times I've heard... "Where is Old Town Lewisville?" or "We have a historic district?". Umm, yeah we do! And it's awesome! So if you haven't visited yet, here is our must-do checklist this summer.

1. Wake up with a coffee

The Perc Coffeehouse is smack in the middle of Main Street, and makes one of the best chai latte's I've ever had. It's the perfect place to have a meeting, catchup with friends, or bring the family. And to top it off, they just launched their new summer menu! On top of all this greatness, they also have live music on Friday and Saturdays from 7-10PM.

TIP: Ask for the affogato, you will not be disappointed!

2. Shop a little (obviously)

Downtown has several awesome shopping destinations that - if you're like me - will test the never ending battle of sticking to the budget. Inside Beasley's Jewelry is a women's clothing boutique that has comfortable and cute items you can't live without! The Merc (holla!) is my personal favorite, though I may be just a tad bit biased. We are a vintage & antique market specializing in farmhouse, French, and shabby-chic home goods. And most recent to the party is Flourish! This adorable shop has flowers and gifts you'll love!

3. Grab a bite

If you haven't tried one of our THREE new restaurants to the left of City Hall, you are definitely missing out! The vibes at Cavalli, Twisted Root Burger, and Prohibition Chicken all incorporated the downtown vibes into their design, and have amazing menus to top it off!

4. Catch some live music

On Tuesday and Friday nights throughout June and July, Wayne Ferguson Plaza hosts concerts from 7-10PM. So grab your blanket and enjoy a relaxing night of music and of course, FOOD TRUCKS! Click here for a schedule for the rest of the summer.

TIP: If you show up early, you can hit the Farmer's Market on Church Street.

And of course there are so many more great places down here! So come down and stay a while - we'd love to show you around!

Until next time -
